PrivateSky Aviation Services Mode S Enhanced Surveillance Solution (EHS) Offers Immediate European Compliance

PrivateSky® Aviation Services' Mode-S Enhanced Surveillance Solution (EHS) has been developed, accomplished & approved by the FAA for full compliance with mandates in European Airspace. Gulfstream Model aircraft now being booked into the PrivateSky® Fort Myers Service Center for the STC installation.

(PRWEB) September 14, 2006 -- Fort Myers, Florida USA PrivateSky® Aviation Services, Inc., based in Fort Myers, Florida (KRSW) and Spectralux Corporation, based in Redmond, Washington announce the release of their new, FAA approved, Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for Mode-S Enhanced Surveillance (EHS) on Gulfstream aircraft. The installation requires approximately six days downtime and costs less than $20,000, depending on the current configuration of the Transponder installation in the aircraft.

Mode- S Elementary (ELS) and Enhanced (EHS) Surveillance is scheduled for mandatory compliance in European airspace by March 30, 2007.

PrivateSky® and Spectralux teamed together to provide customers with a top-notch quality (EHS) solution for the fast approaching mandate for operating in European Airspace. The new STC incorporates a Translator, manufactured by Spectralux that enables Enhanced Surveillance to report “Selected Altitude” as required by ICAO and EUROCONTROL. Installation of the new PrivateSky® STC enables all Gulfstream IV operators to be fully compliant with the requirements to operate in European Airspace.
