Losers Lounge is a murder mystery set in 1948 that follows the perplexing and often seedy life of a private detective who is accused of murdering a troubled young lady with a dark history.

Based on the 2003 no-budget award winning movie, the Novelette takes the reader back to the fictitious town of Passionville, Illinois where all the action takes place in Lisa Losers’ Lounge that is full of seedy characters, corrupt police and politicians who hang out with those poor souls devoid of any hope.

As Noted Indiana Poet Thomas Alan Orr writes in the Foreword:

“Yet Losers Lounge is also a troubling examination of characters who have lost their way. In fact, half way into this story, one must ask if redemption is even a moral possibility in a place like Passionville.”

The story is a mixture of the -noir style of the late 1940s and some sensitive and controversial issues of present day.
