Alektrona Corporation to Teach ZigBee Course at Embedded Systems Conference Boston The course will offer developers real world information on ZigBee and 802.15.4. Information on the state of ZigBee, use issues and tools will be presented. Providence, RI (PRWEB) September 14, 2006 -- Alektrona Corporation has been accepted by the Embedded Systems Conference Boston to teach a course entitled "Inside Look at ZigBee Wireless Sensor Networks." The course will offer insight into a range of real world hardware, software, and system issues facing ZigBee developers today as well as how the ZigBee Alliance is continuing to improve and extend the standard.
"ZigBee in conjunction with IEEE 802.15.4 is an incredible step forward for the standardization of low cost and low power wireless networks," says Christopher Leidigh, President of Alektrona Corporation. "However, relative to technologies like TCP/IP, developer's exposure to ZigBee is still in its early stages. Our course is a small step towards helping educate engineers on real world ZigBee design and implementation issues."
The 90 minute course will be offered on Tuesday, September 23 at 8:30 a.m. at ESC Boston and taught by Christopher Leidigh and Jim Higgins. Leidigh has been teaching at ESC for over ten years and is the author of the popular full day tutorial on TCPIP networking.
Alektrona Corporation offers embedded hardware and software communications design services with specialization in systems that leverage IP protocols and low data rate wireless networks such as ZigBee. Alektrona is also an active ZigBee Alliance member and co-editor of the ZigBee Gateway Working Group. More information can be found at www.alektrona.com.
