Correction Issued on Press Release about Authors and PBS Special

PRWeb issues correction on press release that erroneously indicated that authors would appear on PBS special.

Due to an editing error, a headline and a summary paragraph on a press release issued earlier today contained erroneous information about a PBS special on children and divorce.

An editor inadvertently changed the original release to indicate that attorney Pauline Tesler and psychologist Peggy Thompson, authors of "Collaborative Divorce" (ReganBooks/HarperCollins), were part of the PBS program, Kids & Divorce.

Instead the authors have commented on the issues raised in the PBS special, Kids & Divorce: For Better or Worse, airing at 10 pm, Thursday, September 14. The authors are not appearing on the show.

The authors' advice: Forget the high-priced lawyers. Hire a collaborative team that supports the entire family both during and after the divorce.

Collaborative divorce does away with messy litigation and pricey pit-bull lawyers, and provides psychological and financial counseling for the whole family, says Tesler.

“For roughly a third of the cost of a traditional divorce, you get a team of professionals who teach communication and conflict resolution skills, and give constructive financial advice,” she adds. “Most important, this process gives a voice to the kids so they emerge from this transition more resilient,” says Thompson.
