KUA to Present at National Utility Conference

Grant Lacerte, Jr., vice president and general counsel at Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA), will speak at the American Public Power Association's 2006 Business & Financial Conference on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006 in Minneapolis, Minn.

Lacerte's presentation, titled "Implementing a Code of Ethics Policy," will include examples of business ethics dilemmas, best practices in making a code effective and checklists on how to produce, implement and use a code.

Lacerte led the development of a code of ethics for KUA which was approved in February 2006 by the utility's board of directors.

The APPA Business & Financial Conference offers utility professionals more than 45 concurrent sessions covering the areas of accounting and finance, customer accounting and services, human resources and training, information technology and pricing and market analysis.
