Meethalfway.com will save you hours of searching for the perfect venue on top of the time saved on your journey.

At home, you’ve agreed to meet up with your friend who now lives 300 miles away and, time being precious, you don’t want to go all the way over to theirs or vice versa. Or perhaps you’ve been landed with the arrangements for someone’s surprise hen/stag night and need to find somewhere everyone can get to easily.

The site, created and hosted by Birmingham graphic design and new media agency Essence Design Limited, makes organising meetings, dates and days out so easy you’ll be tempted to get out more. Venue bookers can use meethalfway.com as an easy tool to plan and book different venues throughout the UK.

How it works

Go to meethalfway.com and enter the postcodes or addresses for you and the person you are meeting. You will then be taken to a list of venues for the area that falls midway between your two starting points. Go to the list of venue options on the left of the page to choose the type of venue you are looking for (business/conference, food and drink, accommodation or entertainment). Here you can refine your options even further to specify facilities such as air-conditioning, WiFi, disabled access, non-smoking, etc. Click ‘search’ and a list of venues matching your requirements will be displayed.

You can then choose your venue and even book online. You can plan a whole day/weekend of activities such as a café for lunch, an afternoon of golf, an evening at a restaurant and a hotel or B&B to stay in over night. Your chosen venues will be saved in ‘your trip’, where you can add, remove and change the order of your venues. Once your schedule is complete you and your date/friend/colleagues will be emailed the itinerary along with directions and maps for how to get to the meeting point and from A to B amongst your chosen venues and back home again.

Meethalfway.com is not just for business travellers or long distance friends – it is just as useful for people who live on opposite sides of the same city.
