Soldiers Angels Salutes Marybeth Nance Everyday Angel Soldiers Angels provide Blankets Of Hope to our heroes on a daily basis. Marybeth Nance put all her hopes and heart into one such blanket for one such hero. Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) September 19, 2006 When MaryBeth Nance, a Soldiers’ Angel from Pennsylvania, found out that one of her adopted soldiers in Iraq had the same birthday as her husband, she wanted to do something extra special for his special day. That is when MaryBeth got the idea to make a quilt representing all fifty states for her soldier, SFC Anthony Richey of the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team from Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The unit was to return home this summer but their scheduled yearlong deployment in Mosul was recently extended to help control the surge in of violence in Baghdad. MaryBeth had the help of twenty-five other Soldiers’ Angels in making the squares for each state then she sewed and quilted them together for SFC Richey’s birthday present. SFC Richey received his special birthday package just in time for his birthday and he was extremely surprised and thankful to MaryBeth and the other Angels for helping to make his birthday away from home a little brighter. Soldiers' Angels is a 5013c Non Profit Founded by Patti Patton-Bader, mother of Sgt. Soldiers' Angels is an all-volunteer run organization. Soldiers' Angels started in June of 2003. To date they have sent thousands of care packages to deployed soldiers, helped the wounded at most military hospitals and aided military families in need. From its very inception, the focus of Soldiers' Angels has been: Helping to bring home healthy soldiers. "May No Soldier Go Unloved" Soldiers Angels 1150 N.
