TPC Wire & Cable Corp. has recently added a 12 AWG 2 conductor pink jacketed mining cable to its existing line of mining cable. Specifically designed with a bright pink jacket, this cable is easily visible and provides a measure of safety for mine blasting operations.

Research shows that companies in Mexico specifically use this type of cable in open pit or underground mining operations. However, it‘s also applicable for other industrial uses such as portable cord or extension cords.

“Our durable thermoset rubber jacket will resist tearing and abrasion which are common in mining applications, and the high visibility of the pink jacket makes this cable ideal for safe blasting areas” said TPC Product Manager, Dave Sedivy.

Mine blasting cable is UL listed and CSA certified. In addition to the bright pink color, it is also flexible and resistant to extreme weather from -40°C to +90°C. It is SOOW, Type TC and 600 volts.
