Koofers Upgrades Its Website for a More Engaging and Informative Product

Today, Koofers, Inc. (http://www.koofers.com) announced the launch of its newly redesigned website. The new site boasts an intuitive new user interface and new service offerings to help students collaborate and share information with one another across universities. The site launch comes at the beginning of the Fall 2010 semester, as many students head back to school.

Koofers has been providing social learning services to college students since 2008 and has grown exponentially in the last two years. This growth has driven the need for improvements to the current website.

“The main objective for improving our product this summer was to significantly enhance the student experience,” said Gio Hunt, CEO of Koofers. “As the premiere social learning site, we wanted to better connect students to their friends and peers and enable them to have better access to information about their classes.”

As part of its redesign, Koofers adopted the Facebook login system, enabling students to quickly create a Koofers account and connect with other students, regardless of university. This intercollegiate connectivity also powers Koofers’ new Question and Answer feature, through which students can ask academic questions and have them answered by other students enrolled in similar classes nationwide.

“We’re breaking down the walls between colleges. With our Facebook integration, we can extend our students’ social networking experience into the academic realm,” said Rohit Kinra, head of product management. “Essentially, we’re building an academic extension to the social graph – we like to call it the ‘academic graph’. This new ‘academic graph’ capability allows students to connect, collaborate, and share academic information regardless of school.”

“We are extremely pleased with the updates to our service and excited for the Fall semester to begin,” Hunt continued. “Our students are our number one priority, and we feel that we have greatly enhanced our service with this website redesign.”
