Rough Creek Lodge, an exclusive 39-room executive retreat near Glen Rose, Texas, announces the addition of Karen Fogle to its sales team. Karen is a veteran to this market, and brings a very loyal client base with her. This addition is the latest move in Rough Creek's efforts to expand its corporate and hunting client base.

GLEN ROSE, TX (August 14, 2002) -- Rough Creek Lodge today announced the appointment of Karen Fogle, sales manager to its team of experienced meeting, wedding and hunt planners. Fogle will be responsible for corporate and hunt business with groups ranging from ten to 100. The addition of Fogle represents the resorts commitment to providing its corporate clients with the most professional and knowledgeable veterans of corporate and hunt sales.

Ever since Rough Creek Lodge opened four years ago, Ive kept abreast of its amazing success. Fogle comes to the Lodge with over 20 years sales and marketing experience, including 11 years in the meetings and conference services industry. Most recently, Fogle was Primary National Sales Representative for WB Ranch Corporate Retreat & Conference Center located in Whitney, Texas, where she marketed the conference center to over 6,000 meeting planners. She was also instrumental in steering the property to gain IACC (International Association of Conference Centers) certification.

Previously, Fogle served as Director of Sales and Marketing at Star Brand Ranch in Kaufman, Texas for nearly ten years. Fogle joined Star Brand before the conference center was constructed, and she helped build the operation from the ground floor. In this role she was responsible for all advertising, sales materials and marketing promotions.

Fogles background and interests are varied, from being the owner and developer of a unique master-planned community to accountant, where she managed all financial

aspects for clients, from payroll to taxes to financial reports. As the owner of Cross Roads Ranch, a thoroughbred farm, she raised, trained and raced horses and managed all accounting procedures for the ranch for 13 years.

Fogle is an active ten-year member of Meeting Professionals International and is also a member of Small Properties Information Network (SPIN), which focuses on small conference centers..
