Alberta, Canada (PRWEB) August 22, 2010 Local Internet entrepreneur Jesse Willms donated $1,000 each to the YESS Foundation and Big Brothers/Big Sisters Of Canada. “As someone who has been incredibly lucky in business, I want to do my best to give back to the community and help out children in need,” Willms said. “Children are our future. If we want society to be a better place we need to help the next generation before it is too late.” Jesse Willms started out in business when he was 16 years old and in the past seven years has started several successful Internet companies. He says he owes his success to the opportunities he had when he was younger, and wants to make sure all of Canada's youth has the chance to succeed in life. “I have always been looking for effective, well managed children's charities to support,” Willms said. “The YESS Foundation and Big Brothers/Big Sisters do a lot of good work and I want to help them with their efforts.” The YESS Foundation works to cover a loophole in support for at risk children. In Canada, at-risk youth can access Child And Family Services until age 16. At age 18 they can seek help from the adult welfare system. But between ages 16 and 18, there are no public services to help them. YESS works to bridge this gap and help keep their lives on track. Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Canada is a system that matches successful adults with at-risk youths in order to provide a strong, positive adult presence in their lives. This famous organization has helped millions of children break the cycle of poverty. “What these organizations have in common is that they have a strong track record of being successful and making a real difference,” Willms said. “I'm proud to donate money to them and encourage other people to do the same.” Willms noted that he plans to make additional contributions to both groups and similar organizations in the near future.
