Mobile, AL, (PRWEB) September 25, 2006 -– The SSI Group, Inc. (SSI) has released version 6.4.2 of its ClickON® Claims Editor (Billing Module) which provides the ability to update individual claims with the most current claim tracking status information from the 277 claims status response and the 997 functional acknowledgment. This enhancement adds to the capabilities already embedded in the ClickON Claims Editor that allows processing of the new UB04 and CMS1500 claims forms, the additional National Provider Identifier (NPI) fields and new security reports.
ClickON Technology from SSI, a healthcare electronic data interchange (EDI) company, provides connectivity to a wide variety of commercial and government healthcare payers, including Medicare, through an EHNAC-certified clearinghouse/Data Center and the industry’s first direct-to-payer claims submission solution.
According to SSI’s President and CEO Bobby Smith, Version 6.4.2 of the company’s ClickON Claims Editor provides for enhanced functionality, enabling more efficient claims processing, tracking and obtaining a status for each claim submitted to payers for adjudication. “This enhanced functionality in the Claims Editor will help our clients track their claims and understand where they are in the process which helps in the goal of having the claims paid quicker,” he said. “ClickON Technology can fit into a healthcare facility’s operations because of its scalability. The additional solutions we offer such as eligibility verification and remittance advice management only improve the fiscal operations of a healthcare facility, providing a comprehensive solution from the front end registration process to the back-end with cash posting.”
The claim status-tracking feature applies to all claims sent through SSI's Data Center for processing. Where payers permit, clients will be able to send 276 transactions - claims status inquiries - using a request in the Claims Editor, and view the 277 claim status response via a tracking status menu option. Additionally, a Claim Tracking Status report can be generated for an individual account.
“SSI’s clearinghouse operations, direct-to-payer claims submission solutions and claims editing features have consistently afforded the company’s clients of all sizes with high-level continuous operations and service,” Smith said. “When our operations were certified by EHNAC, this only validated SSI’s commitment to excellence and unparalleled service. As we release new versions of our products, our clients can expect that commitment to continue with industry certified standards.“
SSI’s ClickON Technology facilitates HIPAA transactions for claims (837I&P), eligibility request/inquiry (270/271), claims status request/inquiry (276/277), remittance advice (835) and precertification/authorization (278). ClickON’s workflow capabilities automate the healthcare revenue cycle, enabling processing tasks to be accomplished in less time by fewer people. Benefits derived from this seamless integration of technology and workflow include eliminating the reformatting of electronic data, reducing redundant data entry and increasing data validation and reporting. SSI also offers an extensive payer offering with more than 800 available payers, representing thousands of health plans.
