Planet Of The Dogs Book for Children and Dog Lovers Now Available Online at CaféPress

Far out in space, on the other side of the sun, is the Planet Of The Dogs. This book tells the exciting story of how dogs first came down to planet earth to teach people about unconditional love and to save the farmers of Green Valley from invasion by the Stone City warriors.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 29, 2006 -- “I loved it,” said Ned Wang, a 10-year-old New York City schoolboy. “I want to read it again.” He was talking about Planet Of The Dogs, a new book that tells the story of how dogs first came down to planet earth to teach people about unconditional love – and to save the farmers of Green Valley from the Stone City warriors.

The book has been a family affair, written and illustrated by the husband and wife team of Robert J McCarty and Stella Mustanoja McCarty. Planet of the Dogs is their first children’s book, inspired by the many stories made up for their children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He is a graduate of Princeton University, and she is a graduate of the Art Academy in Helsinki as well as the University of Helsinki.

Enthusiastic pre-publication responses from children and adults motivated the publisher, Barking Planet Productions, to become a member of the CaféPress.com affiliate program and establish an online store. Dr. Warner V. Slack, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, said, “Planet Of The Dogs is an enchanting story that will delight the young reader as well as the young reader’s parents or grandparents.”

The book, now available at http://www.cafepress.com/planetofthedogs, has 8 illustrations and a map. You can also buy mugs, t-shirts, baby items and other merchandise with reproductions of the book art and fun expressions like, “Life Is Good On The Planet Of The Dogs,” "I Left My Heart on Planet Of The Dogs," and "I Found a Friend on Planet Of The Dogs."
