Western Golf Properties Supports Patriot Golf Day Nationwide For the fourth consecutive year, the Clubs in the Western Golf Properties portfolio nationwide will partner with the PGA, USGA and Play Golf America to support our military and their families. Orange County, CA (Vocus) September 3, 2010 The Western Golf Properties portfolio of courses will once again be participating facilities during the fourth annual Patriot Golf Day this Labor Day weekend. Patriot Golf Day, a joint initiative of The PGA of America and the United States Golf Association, benefits the Folds of Honor Foundation, an organization which provides post-secondary educational scholarships for children and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled while serving our great nation. “Since the start of Patriot Golf Day, we have supported its cause by having each of our facilities become participating courses,” says Bobby Heath, President & CEO of Western Golf Properties, “We feel it is important to honor those who have served our nation so bravely and are proud of the support we have received from our golfers over the last three years.” Each Club nationwide will be accepting donations from their golfers between Friday, September 3rd and Monday, September 6th with all proceeds going to support the Folds of Honor Foundation. Through events across the country since 2007, PGA Professionals have helped raise more than $5.3 million, allowing the Folds of Honor Foundation to award 1,163 post-secondary educational scholarships.
