Laguna Hills, Calif. (PRWEB) September 29, 2006 -- The Performer’s Academy, located in Orange County, California is kicking off it’s fall production of Disney’s High School Musical. The play, which is one of the biggest hits with the tween market – has created a sensation at the academy.

Everyone child and pre-teen knows this musical. They know the songs and the dances, it’s the Grease of this generation, states Natalie Costa, owner of The Performer’s Academy.

The musical is a fully licensed version by Musical Theatre International and Disney. The book was written by David Simpatico.

This production is geared towards children with absolutely no experience. They don’t have to know the play, sing or dance well. They just have to want to have fun. The production is designed to teach all aspects of musical theatre to children and the end result will be a performance for family and friends in a theatre.

“It’s amazing to watch the faces of the children while they are on stage”, says Tisha Bellantoni, Musical Theatre Director for The Performer’s Academy. “They absorb it like a sponge and when the curtain goes up and the lights come on, there’s something magical that happens and you can see it in their little faces.”

“Performing live on stage is a tremendous growing experience,” says Costa. “A monologue is the same thing as an oral book report or a closing argument. It just depends where you are in life.”

So many schools have cut the arts programs due to budget restrictions. The Performer’s Academy, located in Laguna Hills, offers affordable classes. For children under the age of 13, classes are $100 per month for one class per week. You pay monthly, so there are no long-term contracts or high priced tuitions. You can stop coming anytime you like.

But most don’t. The Performer’s Academy has children that have been coming to the studio for years. The teaching staff is what sets them apart. Headed by film director, Jeff Celentano, the academy has a teaching staff of film directors, writers, producers and working actors. It’s not filled with “has-beens or wannbe’s” says Costa. “Every teacher her has a viable resume that can be verified on imdb.com”.

Jeff Celentano recently completed directing a major feature called, “Say It In Russian”, which he also co-wrote. This movie stars Ms. Faye Dunaway, Steven Brand, Musetta Vander and many others. He’s about to direct a children’s film called “Whiskers” which will be cast by Joey Paul Jensen who casts such shows as “That’s So Raven”, “Even Stevens” and a host of other shows for Disney and Nickelodeon.

Brent Huff just completed his feature called “Welcome To Paradise” which stars Brian Dennehy and Crystal Bernard. Approximately 200 students and their families from The Performer’s Academy were put into that film.

The Performer’s Academy provides affordable training with a tremendous teaching staff.
