Four Fifty One Debuts on CW's Veronica Mars Season 3 Premier

Indie rock band Four Fifty One (http://www.fourfiftyoneband.com) performs their new single "Socks and Shoes" under the name The Unwashed in the season premier of the critically acclaimed Veronica Mars. Mars' fanbase waged an online effort to help the series make the leap to CW after the merger of UPN/WB networks. Mars follows “Gilmore Girls,” which opens Tuesday nights for CW at 8 p.m. Four Fifty One's debut was produced by Adam Moseley (The Cure, NIkka Costa) and is released on Mophonics Records. The project was produced by Dust Brothers' Studio Chief Adam Moseley (The Cure, Nikka Costa) and is released by Venice, CA based boutique music shop Mophonics. Almost immediately Four Fifty One has garnered positive buzz, from snagging a performance in the hit CW series Veronica Mars to recording with acclaimed producer Adam Moseley, the college aged rockers even generated enough online support to win a spot at the seminal CMJ Music Festival in NYC.

Four Fifty One delivers a melodic punch as jarring as a jab from Ali and as distorted as Picasso's bent on reality. Indie rock with 60s infused melodies and hooks. Biting guitars with pointed lyrics and affecting vocals. British invasion meets California surf rock, jumps in a time machine and floors it. Drew Robinson's vocal style and on-stage persona is both creatively and sonically captivating, if not Jagger-esque. Yanni Gianarros together with guitarist Chris Frazier and bassist Marquis Hudson lay down Motownish licks and grooves that stick in the heads of even the most discerning music critics.

The Maryland based band are hesitant to define their influences, though their playlists range from Wilson Pickett, to The Doors, and Strokes on one day, to the Velvet Underground, Joy Division or The Shins the next. Comparisons aside, in this digital age the good thing about having such a broad range of music for young bands to consume, is that upstarts like Four Fifty One maintain a style that is still totally one of a kind.
