Enjoy Studio Reader Stan's Misery

Announcing the launch of the new online comic strip, "Studio Reader Stan," which satirizes the entertainment industry.

(PRWEB) October 5, 2006 -- The new weekly online comic strip, “Studio Reader Stan,” was launched on October 2, 2006 at www.StudioReaderStan.com.

Created and written by author/screenwriter Stephen Kogon, and drawn by Ledhed, the strip follows the life of a miserable twenty-eight year old guy who reads screenplays for narcissistic, and often dim-witted, studio executives in order to

scrape by.

Throughout his misadventures, Studio Reader Stan also interacts with a low-level literary agent and her underwear model fiancé, a partier/slacker who wins a producing credit in a drinking game, a therapist who’s more interested in being an aspiring writer/actor/director/producer than listening to his clients, his bad story idea mother, socialite Rome Marriott, a disillusioned executive’s assistant who has an MBA from Harvard, an out-of-control 13-year-old director, and others.

Studio Reader Stan’s real name is Larry, but because no one in Hollywood ever actually listens to someone as lowly as him, everyone calls him Studio Reader Stan, no matter how many times he corrects them.

In week one, Studio Reader Stan meets with Mr. Gold, an executive at Quality Studios. After Mr. Gold inquires as to whether Studio Reader Stan can introduce him to 19-year-old girls, he then prods Studio Reader Stan to pass on a certain script so he won’t have to read it while on his two-month vacation.
