Detroit Physician Group Launches Healthcare Data Exchange; Wayne State University Physician Group Selects Orion Health for Data Integration

Wayne State University Physician Group has selected the Orion Health Rhapsody Integration Engine to help create an exchange of clinical and demographic data between hospitals, medical centers and their own offices.

Wayne State University Physician Group, a non-profit, multi-specialty physician practice group which operates over 100 medical practices and provides primary and specialty medical services to more than 670,000 patients annually throughout Detroit, Michigan, has selected the Orion Health Rhapsody Integration Engine to help create an exchange of clinical and demographic data between hospitals, medical centers and their own offices.

Like most large, integrated health care facilities, Wayne State University Physician Group needed an easier way to collect and manage patient data independent of their existing facility-based information system and electronic health record (EHR). Previously, single point-to-point data collection occurred at disparate locations, where now with the Rhapsody Integration Engine, complete data can be shared throughout their facilities.
