NRMA Insurance Adds New iPhone App To Suite

NRMA Insurance today announced its new CTP Greenslip app, adding to its portfolio of mobile applications.

NRMA Car Insurance today announced its new CTP Greenslip app, adding to its portfolio of mobile applications. Previously launched apps Car Inspector and Valuables Vault will also receive updates and improvements requested by users. All apps are free of charge and available from Apple’s app store.

NRMA Insurance CTP Greenslip

The NRMA Insurance CTP app is the first of its kind in Australia to help users cover off all their CTP needs. The app allows users to use their iPhone to renew, get a quote, buy CTP or pay for a renewal.
App functionality includes:

•     NRMA Insurance CTP Greenslip quotes
•     Secure payment system for users to buy or renew CTP Greenslips
•     Assesment of whether users need a Safety Inspection Report or ‘pink slip’
•     A locator for local e-Inspection stations and their contact details for users who need a pink slip
•     Link to vehicle registration renewal through the RTA website

The introduction of this app gives consumers another mobile medium through which to organise their Compulsory Third Party Insurance.

Valuables Vault

Valuables Vault provides a helping hand in organising and managing beloved valuables. The app’s purpose is to provide a convenient and safe place for people to keep their asset information. Due to popular demand password-protection will be added to the app in early October.

App functionality includes:

•     Pre-set asset categories including electronic goods, jewellery, photographic and video equipment. Users can also add categories
•     Use of iPhone camera to photograph valuables
•     Prompts for information such as description, serial number, make/model, warranty etc
•     Email functionality to back up information
•     Option to call NRMA Insurance for insurance updates, purchase or placement of claims

Car Inspector

This handy app contains all the latest safety, security and environmental information for most new cars available in Australia. It provides a search and comparison tool for vehicles tested and rated by the NRMA Car Insurance Research Centre or other independent organisations, helping consumers looking to buy a new car.

App functionality includes:

•     Search and comparison tool for multiple vehicles for easier browsing
•     New update that highlights ‘best in class’ vehicles per category (coming in early October)
•     Ratings for new vehicles including safety, security and environmental scores
•     Ability to search for individual car models, makes or by vehicle categories
•     Option to call NRMA Insurance for a car insurance quote

The Research Centre carries out physical research for NRMA Insurance, SGIO and SGIC. The Research Centre works with the automotive industry to carry out testing and data analysis to advise consumers on car safety issues.
