Endemol Recruiting Fotothing Bloggers for ITV1 Programme Citizen journalists on photo blogging site Fotothing now have the opportunity to see their work on ITV1’s “I was there: the people’s review of 2006." Endemol, who is producing the news review programme, has enlisted the help of Fotothing to find suitable pictures from amateur photographers on its site. (PRWEB) October 10, 2006 -- Users of photo blogging site Fotothing are getting the opportunity to have their pictures shown on prime time television.
Endemol UK, one of the largest independent producers in Britain and the company behind shows such as Big Brother, Restoration and Deal or No Deal, is working with Fotothing (www.fotothing.com) to produce “I was there: the people’s review of 2006,” an ITV1 programme which will showcase the news events of 2006 from the perspective of the citizen journalist.
Endemol is looking for photos and video footage that capture anything reported in the UK press this year; from the World Cup to the recent coup into Thailand.
For the chance to have their photos included in this ITV news review, budding citizen journalists should register (free) on Fotothing and then select the edit/upload option from the left hand menu to add their pictures to the site. These photos should be tagged “ITV” . They will then automatically be uploaded to a specially designated page (http://www.fotothing.com/fotothing/). Endemol will pay for any photos used.
