AA Media Group builds next generation media backbone for Dutch regional broadcaster

Dutch broadcaster Omroep Gelderland selects AA Media Group to implement an advanced MAM system for their tri-media environment, consisting of Vidispine media backbone and Cantemo’s Portal frontend, to simplify workflows and standardize the metadata used for media archiving and exchange.

Omroep Gelderland, covering the largest province of the Netherlands, has selected leading solution provider AA Media Group to implement their advanced media asset management system. Objectives of the project: to interface with existing audio and video production and playout systems, including Adobe Premiere, to implement the ROOS metadata model for standardized archiving and media exchange used by Dutch media companies, and to be the foundation for future functionality, including news production and new media outlets.

The new system reduces the number of separate databases and manual processes, which will allow our users to produce faster, reuse content from our archive, and last but not least: exchange content with the other regional broadcasters,” says Martin Ouburg, manager of facilities and technology at Omroep Gelderland.
