Insight Meditation Center of Pioneer Valley to Host Sit-A-Thon

The Insight Meditation Center of Pioneer Valley is hosting a Sit-A-Thon fundraiser focused on developing peace and happiness in our hearts and minds. The Sit-A-Thon will take place on Sunday, October 22, from 9:00am-7:00pm. The Insight Meditation Center is located at Eastworks, 116 Pleasant Street, Suite 242, in Easthampton, MA. The fundraiser will help support the Center's many activities, including open sittings, classes and one-day retreats.

Easthampton, MA (PRWEB) October 10, 2006 -- The Insight Meditation Center of Pioneer Valley is hosting a Sit-A-Thon fundraiser focused on developing peace and happiness in our hearts and minds. The Sit-A-Thon will take place on Sunday, October 22, from 9:00am-7:00pm. The Insight Meditation Center is located at Eastworks, 116 Pleasant Street, Suite 242, in Easthampton, MA. These include classes in insight meditation, open sittings, drop-in meditation periods, weekly sittings, teen retreats and one-day retreats.

Mindfulness, the practice of being present and aware in the moment, will be the main thread interwoven throughout the Sit-A-Thon's day-long activities including meditation instruction, gentle yoga, mindful walking, and mindful eating.
