Second Annual Hollywood (China) Film Festival (HCFF) Will be Launched in Los Angeles, California The second annual Hollywood China film festival (HCFF) will be launched in Los Angeles, California. Seven quality feature films from China will be nominated for the festival. The China Film Festival 2006 will be held in not just USA but Canada as well, building closer ties and greater economic cooperation using film making as a common medium. The Hollywood China Film Festival welcome dinner banquet will be held on October 31, 2006 at the Capital Restaurant, Monterey Park, Calif. and the opening ceremony will be held on Nov 1, 2006 at Director's Guild Theatre, West Hollywood, Ca., and hopefully to generate widespread awareness of and interest in movies and film practitioners from China. This unique collaboration has come to fruition with the open ceremony event, exhibition of seven highly-acclaimed China films, a Seminar and Workshop Series, and the attendance by a delegation of top officials from China . The China Film Festival 2006 will be held in not just USA but Canada as well, building closer ties and greater economic cooperation using film making as a common medium.

Other than enriching our local audience appreciation of China's film culture, this Festival also serves as a platform for international dialogue and collaboration in film education, film financing, and film production.
This is the first-ever China film event held in the region on such a significant scale. The Seminar and Workshop Series focuses on issues related to entering the China market. Top officials, professors and directors will deliver comprehensive presentations on topics such as current developments in China's film industry, feasible channels of international collaboration, practical strategies to enter the China market, as well as filmmaking techniques. Leading actors and actresses will also be gracing the event.
