CD USA Host John Wynn set to moderate 2006 CMJ Music Marathon Panel – “Video Star Confidential: Top VJs Tell All" November 3 In New York.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 16, 2006 -- Popular CD USA host John Wynn, long-noted for his exotic good looks and highly charismatic personality, is set to moderate a 2006 CMJ Music Marathon panel entitled “Video Star Confidential: Top VJ’s Tell All” on November 3 at Lincoln Center in New York. Participating CMJ panelists include VJ’s from MTV/VH1 Networks, The Fuse Network and Music Choice among others, who will share career advice and candid stories of their experiences in the industry, while also exposing revelations about things you may not see on TV.

Wynn is one of the co-hosts of DirecTV’s highly-rated, worldwide syndicated music program CD USA, now back -- due to popular demand -- for a second season. The weekly music show features up to seven live performances with both top-selling and rising acts, in nearly every musical genre including Rock, Pop, Alternative, Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Reggae, Country and Latin among others. Previous guests have included Kelly Clarkson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jewel, Snoop Dogg, Wyclef Jean, Nelly Furtado, Godsmack, Black Eyed Peas, Korn, Good Charlotte and Chris Brown among others. CD USA, which also includes interviews, celebrity dish and music videos, can be seen every Saturday at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT in high definition on Channel 101.

Wynn, also a singer-songwriter, previously fronting the signed indie rock band Agent Sands, and an actor, plays the comic lead in the feature film Platonically, scheduled for release in 2007. He is also slated to star in the feature film Beyond The Mat, with principal photography beginning in 2007. A first generation Asian-American of Vietnamese/French heritage, Wynn is from Chesterfield, VA. He previously studied medicine in graduate school, prior to pursuing a career in music and entertainment.

CMJ Music Marathon has been a beacon for the world’s most cutting-edge and innovative music for the past 25 years, introducing thousands of rising stars at showcases and concerts at New York City’s most important venues. CMJ helped launch the careers of many of today’s brightest stars with early Marathon performances by Green Day, The Killers, Eminem, Radiohead, Black Eyed Peas, Beastie Boys, R.E.M. and Arcade Fire. Additionally, legends such as Willie Nelson, James Brown, Patti Smith and the late Johnny Cash have also graced the CMJ stages, inspiring younger artists and seasoned professionals alike. Previous keynote speakers have included David Bowie, Brian Wilson, Moby, Queen Latifah, George Clinton and Ice-T among others. Today, more than 100,000 music professionals, artists and fans converge every autumn for CMJ Music Marathon and CMJ FilmFest, celebrating the very best in new music, film and pop culture.
