Mel’s Deeply Ashamed: Singing Rehab Program Suggested

Mel Gibson tells the world he sorry on national TV, but maybe he should have met with singer song writer Jesse Goldberg first to discuss a hit song that would of been better then trying to say I'm sorry.

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) October 19, 2006 -- While People, Forbes, E! Entertainment and other publications have reported that devoutly Catholic Mel Gibson is deeply ashamed of his recent behavior, comedian lawyer Jesse Goldberg suggests Mel would be better off becoming a Southern Baptist Jew.

“They are saying that Mel just snapped when he started spewing religious slurs. But I think Mel needs a little music therapy instead of rehab,” said Mr. Goldberg. “By repeatedly singing my song about Southern Baptist Jews, Mel can transform his life and become an equal opportunity offender.”

Religious extremists are wonderful fodder for anyone with Goldberg’s sense of humor. “Southern Baptist Jew” includes the lyrics: “I was a non-believing, hedonistic, pagan atheist/Now I’m a bible thumping, Pentecostal, fundamentalist/I go to church and mosque and synagogue and tabernacle too/‘Cause I’m a Catholic Muslim Hindu Buddhist Southern Baptist Jew.”

Jesse enjoys writing and singing about what he knows best, the funny side of modern life. Besides “Southern Baptist Jew,” Jesse’s “Solid Goldberg” album also includes fan favorites, such as “Prenuptial Agreement,” “The Civil War is Over,” and “I Used to be a Liberal.”

Goldberg fans know him as the musician whose song “Its Honeymooner Time” was produced into a music video for Showtime and won a cable TV Ace Award. They enjoy his frequent contributions to the Dr. Demento Show, especially his hit “White Spots.” Some happy fans have had the chance to see him at the Improv, The Comedy Store, and The Bluebird Cafe.

Two million lucky Tennessee fans can watch Goldberg weekly on two area television shows, “Mind Your Own Music Business” and “Common Law.” Details of these programs, as well as clips from his CDs can be found at www.jessegoldberg.com.
