He's Back in the Saddle Again!

Wickenburg, AZ - August 30, 2002 - If you remember those thrilling days of yesteryear when cowboy stars in white hats galloped across the silver screen, then make plans to be in Gene Autry, Oklahoma, September 26 - 29, 2002, for the annual Gene Autry Oklahoma Film Festival! Tex Hill, one of the last singing cowboys, will be appearing there with his world famous Rhythm Ranch Show on Friday evening, September 27th.

The Rhythm Ranch Show is a Western variety show like those Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, Rex Allen, and Tex did on stage and radio during the 1940's, '50's, and '60s. In addition to Tex Hill, performers will include: Double Action, John Buttram, Judy Coder, Big Buck Helton, and many other singing and yodeling cowboys and cowgirls, comedians, and musicians. If you are a fan of Western films and music, this will be an experience you will never forget.

The Gene Autry Oklahoma Museum (a non-profit museum of Western stars) sponsors this gala event every year. In addition to the old-time film stars who come to sign autographs and meet their fans, there are many exhibitors with tables full of movie memorabilia for sale, and some of the finest entertainers you will see anywhere in the world. All proceeds go to maintain and enhance this wonderful museum of a time in America's history that most people remember fondly and would like their children and grandchildren to experience.

Also scheduled to appear are: Rex Allen Jr., Roy Rogers Jr., Johnny Western, and the Texas Ranch Hands.

Gene Autry, OK is located 7 miles North of Ardmore, OK. Parking is free. Food, beverages, and a gift shop are available on the premises.
