History Buffs Pressure Author for Third Book in Historical Series

Author, J. Robert Whittle will release his third novel in the historically correct series, 'Victoria Chronicles,' set in the Pacific Northwest at the end of WW1 during the deadly Spanish Flu Epidemic of 1918.

Victoria, BC (PRWEB) October 17, 2006 -- As author, J. Robert Whittle's publisher, Whitlands Publishing is totally aware of the popularity of this author's realistic historical novels. That's why we are already taking pre-orders for his next book, 'Loyalty's Haven,' to be officially released November 6th.

Apparently, his eager fans are responsible for the fact this book, the third in the 'Victoria Chronicles,' (the 7th for this popular author) was even written.

Set in early 20th century Pacific Northwest, the 'Victoria Chronicles' has fondly been referred to as 'The Nancy and Dan Series' as the main characters are responsible for walking you through many fascinating historical events of the years 1900-1919. The history is real and well researched as are many of the characters, businesses etc. Teachers refer to them as painless history, and adults declare they're more interesting reading than dry history books.

If the truth be known, many history buffs who claimed they never read anything but non-fiction have made an exception and now demand more of Whittle's historically accurate novels. We're told that families even set up schedules to share each new book by this author who has two bestselling novels.

"Writing comes easy when your imagination takes you back to that time," claims Whittle who has loved history since the age of 5 when he began reading newspaper reports of WW2 in his Yorkshire home. This storyteller, entrepreneur and raconteur meets thousands of readers and acquaintances each year at his market stand in downtown Victoria, BC, a popular tourist destination, providing an explanation for why his books are so popular internationally.

This active senior doesn't stop at the end of summer either. Mid-October finds him moving indoors to the Surrey International Writer's Conference, then Delta and Vancouver Island craft shows. Check out his event schedule at http://www.bestsellingbooks.ca.
