Serious Celebrations is Proud to be a Part of the NYC Marathon

This year, in conjunction with Team Continuum, Maja Leibovitz, President & CEO of the event management firm, Serious Celebrations along with Partner, Tahl Leibovitz have decided to run the NYC Marathon on November 5th.

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 17, 2006 -- This year, in conjunction with Team Continuum, Maja Leibovitz, President & CEO of the event management firm, Serious Celebrations along with Partner, Tahl Leibovitz have decided to run the NYC Marathon on November 5th.

As part of this goal, they have also each committed to raise a minimum of $2620 or $100 per mile for Team Continuum, a charity that cares for the immediate needs of Cancer Patients.

They chose to dedicate this cause to their mother, Felicia Weisskohl, who recently lost the battle of breast cancer on January 4, 2006. “Our mother was a beautiful woman whose love and memories will stay in our hearts forever,” said Maja Leibovitz. “Our mother will remain immortal through her children,” said Tahl Leibovitz.

Maja Leibovitz is an avid runner and comes from a background philosophy of perseverance and dedication being the key factors for quality of life. Tahl Leibovitz has benign bone tumors all over his body but does not let this deter him as he is a world known Table Tennis champion with countless medals and achievements representing the U.S. Tahl defined perseverance when, in the 2004 NYC marathon his entire left side collapsed due to bone tumor constriction during mile 13, resulting in Tahl limping until he crossed the finish line at midnight! He was immobilized for 3 weeks after with no regrets! This year there will still be no regrets as Maja and Tahl move forward knowing their mother would be proud of her children if she were here today.
