Baloka.com Reduces Shipping Charges for the Holidays

Baloka.com, the fashion jewelry e-store just reduced the shipping and handling fees to make their exquisite tagua-based fashion jewelry objects even more affordable for the holidays.

Newton, MA (PRWEB) October 18, 2006 –- Baloka Inc. just announced that it has reduced the shipping and handling fees for all orders through their fashion jewelry e-store. The new flat shipping and handling fees are $5 for orders to be shipped in the USA and $17 for orders to be shipped anywhere else. The former shipping fees were $10 and $25 respectively.

Baloka Inc. pre-launched its e-store http://www.baloka.com on March 26, 2006, and its planning a revamp of the site with more features and with a larger offering. Baloka.com offers a great array of Handcrafted Beaded Jewelry made with real tagua nuts. Most of Balokas's jewelry designs are one-of-a-kind, most designs are never identical. The Tagua nut, also known as vegetable ivory, is the seed of a tropical palm tree, which grows in the rain forests of the South American Pacific coast (mainly Colombia and Ecuador). Its color and physical characteristics are those of the most pure ivory, and its cell structure is nearly identical. The Tagua nut is almost as hard as ivory, but is easier to work. For over 200 years the Tagua nut was used by craftsmen to make the finest tobacco whistles, games of chess and religious objects. In recent years this special material has been re- discovered and used for the first time to make exclusive decorative and fashion objects. The individual elements of these pieces of art are cut manually from the Tagua nut and dyed afterwards with natural colors. After a drying process the nuts are polished, in order to give them its special gloss.
