In Touch Media Group's Bob Cefail Picks Fall Movie Blockbusters

Which fall movie release will be a box office smash? Will it be "Running with Scissors," the family drama starring Annette Bening and Alec Baldwin? Or will Clint Eastwood's "Flags of Our Fathers" about World War II's Iwo Jima draw a crowd? "If moviegoers were able to create their own film, they'd choose to produce something more along the lines of 'The Holiday,' a romantic comedy starring Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, and Jack Black," said Bob Cefail, Chairman of In Touch Media Group, Inc.

CLEARWATER, FL (PRWEB) October 18, 2006 -- Which fall movie release will be a box office smash? Will it be "Running with Scissors," the family drama starring Annette Bening and Alec Baldwin? Or will Clint Eastwood's "Flags of Our Fathers" about World War II's Iwo Jima draw a crowd? "If moviegoers were able to create their own film, they'd choose to produce something more along the lines of 'The Holiday,' a romantic comedy starring Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, and Jack Black," said Bob Cefail, Chairman of In Touch Media Group, Inc., (www.intouchmediagroup.com) a full-service marketing company that specializes in market research and online public relations campaigns. "Our national survey of U.S. moviegoers gave two thumbs up to the romantic comedy with a happy ending."

The survey of 3,300 Americans gave respondents the opportunity to answer questions about the type of movie they'd make, given the chance. Over 36 percent chose a comedy or romance, while only slightly more than seven percent said they'd make a drama. "Clint Eastwood is an extremely talented filmmaker, but fewer than two percent of our survey respondents would choose to make a film set it World War II, while over 55 percent would have their films set in the present day," said Cefail. "'The Holiday' takes place in both London and Los Angeles, and almost a third of the moviegoers in our study indicated that their movies would take place in many different locations."

Likewise, 32 percent of respondents said that, if comedy were to occur in their films, they would want it to be situational comedy, while over 38 percent said they like old-fashioned romance. "Fully half of those surveyed would make a movie with a happy ending," said Cefail. "Moviegoers also indicated that they would cast Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, and Jude Law in their own movies."

Whether or not "The Holiday" will be a hit at the box office remains to be seen, but, as Cefail concluded, "That's precisely the type of movie that fans would choose to make."
