Wautoma, WI (PRWEB) October 20, 2006 -- Former Gunnery Sergeant of "The Walking Dead," captures combat service in Korea, Okinawa & Vietnam through a never before seen multi-media presentaion of almost 600 digital photos.

Richard J. Geller, "Gunny," a former Gunnery Sergeant of the US Marines' "Walking Dead," has never questioned the purpose or cause behind his service of more than two decades to the Marine Corp -- to include his time in Korea and Vietnam.

"I look back with great pride, knowing all the good we did, but know other Marines struggle as a result of press and often misinformed public opinion. Certainly, some bad things happened over there, but they do in every conflict, to include the recent civilian shootings and rapes in Iraq," Geller stated.

Marines coming home from these conflicts (wars), bore scars long after their wounds healed. "When public opinion calls into question the worth of what service members have done, or are doing on behalf of their country, there's a big gap left..A gap that swallowed up many good Marines," stated Geller.

In an effort to restore pride to Vietnam Veterans of all branches of service, and educate the public on the good work of the 1/9 Marines' "Walking Dead" in Vietnam, Geller restored and digitalized almost 600 original slides he took of combat and life in Korea from 1951-52, and Vietnam, from 1966-67.

These digital images have been integrated into a multi-media DVD presentation, soon to be available through his website. Geller will also consider doing public presentations, as well.
