An Afternoon with Cody Enters Christian Literary Market With the Simple Message of God's Love for Everyone

What happens when a young, arrogant sports columnist spends seven and a half hours with an old, wise, retired pastor in an airport terminal?

Dell Rapids, SD (PRWEB) October 25, 2006 -- New Christian author Rex Forrest Johnson answers this question and many more in his new book, An Afternoon With Cody (136pp, $11.95, paperback, ISBN 1-579-343-1).

When 22-year-old Walter Withers, a young, arrogant postmodern generationer is detoured from Minneapolis to Sioux Falls South Dakota airport because of a terrorist threat, he finds himself meeting Cody Brill, a 72 year old retired pastor and a product of the early baby boom age.

From creation to evolution, abortion to the "Plan B Pill", Cody "educates" the young Walter on the way things used to be by giving him a glimpse into a time when God was welcomed everywhere; a time when God, family and love were an integral part of a person's life.

Says Johnson, "As we continue to sprint our way through the twenty first century with technology changing daily, it is refreshing to know that one thing has remained constant since the beginning; God's love for his people. From time to time, it would be a good idea if we all learned to slow down, relax, and spend An Afternoon with Cody."

Set in the year 2020, An Afternoon with Cody is the touching story of two men meeting by chance in an airport terminal. It is the story of one man passing down the knowledge he possesses of God's love to a man who was never allowed to know God and how a detour changed one mans life forever.
