LOOKING FIT® Magazine Publishes Article Series Touting Benefits Of Vitamin D To Public Health

PHOENIX (PRWEB) October 25, 2006 -- LOOKING FIT® magazine recently published a series of articles that discuss the what, where, when, how and why reasons that vitamin D is so important to the health and welfare of Americans.

The articles, written by Donald L. Smith and Patricia Reykdal, cite scientific research that support their findings that the recent increase in Cutaneous Malignant Melanoma is caused by frequency modulation (FM) broadcast radiation and not UVR exposure from indoor tanning.

The authors maintain that while everyone knows that the majority of the American public is vitamin D deficient/insufficient, their health and welfare would be improved if they attained/maintained an optimal level of vitamin D, people are afraid to expose their bodies to UVR because they fear that doing so will cause CMM. Much of this fear has been promoted by the dermatology community's stance against tanning.

The articles appeared in the June, July, August, September and October issues of LOOKING FIT and explains why the entities that sincerely want to reduce the incidence of CMM should stop blaming the increase on UVR and instead, call for a thorough investigation of the role played by FM broadcast radiation.
