White Paper Available - Trident Systems' Collaboration Gateway for Secure Communications to be Used by US Military and Intelligence Communities

Solutions are now available that provide open-standards-based turn-key systems that provide secure text chat in high risk environments. Trident Systems Inc. has designed a Collaboration Gateway (CG) system for use by US Military and Intelligence Communities.

Fairfax, VA (PRWEB) November 6, 2006 -- In its Collaboration Gateway white paper – available at www.tridsys.com – an approach to secure communications is presented.

To be effective, the Department of Defense (DoD) community must share mutually beneficial information with coalition partners. Member nations and non-governmental organizations of U.S.-led coalitions present a wide range of security classification and releasability problems to U.S. Military operations. Security considerations have a profound effect on the levels of information sharing possible in coalition operations. There are two fundamental aspects of this information sharing: 1) how do you share information within a single classification domain between coalition partners? 2) how do you share information between classification domains?

In the past, resolution of these issues has focused only on point solutions. This has led to multiple systems that are non-interoperable, frequently proprietary and expensive to procure, train and maintain. Moreover, these problems are not unique to the DoD, but also afflict collaboration between other government agencies. For example, the non-DoD elements of the US Intelligence Community, DHS, FEMA, as well as local law enforcement offices, all have similar needs to share information and are faced with the same security barriers.

To overcome these issues, collaboration gateway solutions are now available that provide open-standards-based turn-key systems that provide secure text chat in high risk environments. Trident Systems Inc. has designed a Collaboration Gateway (CG) system for use by US military and Intelligence Communities. CG is integrated with certified guarding technology, such as the BAE Systems Data Sync Guard (DSG), to provide a secure cross-domain instant messaging solution.

CG is currently undergoing NSA Certification Testing & Evaluation (CT&E) regression testing as part of JFCOM's Cross Domain Collaborative Information Environment (CDCIE) system. CDCIE and CG will be deployed during the Navy's Trident Warrior 2007 exercise.

Trident's white paper describing the unique benefits and components of their cross-domain CG solution is available on their website www.tridsys.com
