"High School Musical" & The "Cheetah Girls" at The Center Stage Studio of Southern California

It's their goal to make every single child in their productions feel like they are an important part of a play and to encourage performers to find their own creative voice within a challenging and enriching environment. At the Center Stage Studio, everyone is a star.

"I like to think our Musical Theater program is special," says creative director and owner, Tracey DiMiceli, "The Center Stage Studio does not host classes with 30 -- 40 students but instead has no more than 18 students in a class where individual attention can be given if and when needed." All students receive a speaking role and are guaranteed a place in at least two dances. Most kids in the class even get a chance for a solo.

"I am every child on that stage especially the shy child in the corner who doesn't know anyone in the class and it is my job to make sure that this and every other student feels they are special either through positive reinforcement from the staff, giving extra lines or parts and/or giving out solos," says DiMiceli.

Founded in 2004 by Tracey Abbott DiMiceli, her program has quickly expanded from only six students to almost 200 and is still growing. The staff at The Center Stage is highly professional, trained and most of all, caring.

The Center Stage Studio now offers classes for ages 4 and up to 40 in musical theater, singing, improvisation, comedy, modeling and coming soon a commercial and television department. CSS also offers year round camp and has amazing Broadway-themed birthday parties including "High School Musical," "Grease" and more.

"High School Musical" classes are now all full. Their performance will be January 12th, 13th and 14th. in Santa Ana at the Main Street Players Theater located at 600 Main Street.

Next CSS production will start Jnauary 22, 2007, and will be "Wicked."

"Wicked" tells the story of what happened before Dorothy landed in Oz. Funny characters, wonderful songs and a whole lot of fun for all ages. Classes begin January 22nd and run Monday through Saturday. All ages welcome.

"Cheeta Girls Camp" winter camp

Session 1: December 18th – 22nd - $250

Session 2: December 26th – 29th - $225

Camp is daily from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. with an early drop off at 8:30 where breakfast is served. This is a musical theater camp with the play based on the popular Cheetah Girls movie with fun songs, acting and end of session performance on Friday night for friends and family. Friday we have a pizza party for kids from 3 - 5 with hair and make-up cheetah style.

Singing classes with Toni Malone -- Saturdays at 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.

This is a one hour group class concentrating on the fundamentals of singing including breathing, pitch, placement, ear development, posture, belting, using your diaphragm, range strengthening and articulation. There will be an end of session Holiday performance at the studio for friends and family.

Miss Toni is an award winning vocalist and songwriter who has worked with the likes of Aretha Franklin, Gloria Estevan and Gladys Knight just to name a few.

Modeling classes with Miss Helen -- Saturdays from 9 a.m. -- 10:30 a.m.

This is a group class concentrating on not only walking the runway but poise and self confidence. Students learn techniques seen on "America's Next Top Model" and the fundementals of the mysterious and exiting world of modeling. Miss Helen encourages parents to attend the classes to monitor the progression of the students.

Miss Helen is a world class model who's had the honor of walking on runways all over the world as well as having been featured in magazines and commercials. She knows her stuff.

Coming this January

"Wicked". The Broadway smash hit musical. Classes for all ages.

"Itty Bitty Broadway" for ages 4 - 6. Each child will have a small part and solo.

Acting for television and film. Classes for children, young adults and now adults concentrating on not only acting for television and film but valuable information about the industry. There will be a showcase for guest Hollywood agents at the end of the semester.
