Good Samaritan Hospital is proud to sponsor its 8th annual Trauma Symposium for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, paramedics and EMS personnel.

Suffern, NY (PRWEB) November 8, 2006 -- Good Samaritan Hospital is proud to sponsor its 8th annual Trauma Symposium for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, paramedics and EMS personnel, on November 13, 2006, from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Crossroads Hotel in Mahwah, N.J. Registration for the symposium is free.

This educational program is hosted by Thomas Facelle, M.D., F.A.C.S., and Wendy Schindler, R.N., B.S.N. The agenda for the trauma symposium features the following:

•A discussion of pelvic fractures by David Aspirinio, M.D., Chairman, New York Medical College, Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Attending, Westchester Medical Center and Hospital for Special Surgery

•A discussion of neurological trauma by David Spitzer, M.D., D.A.B.N.S., Neurosurgeon, Good Samaritan Hospital, Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery, Columbia College

•A discussion of military trauma in the deployed setting by Alan Beitler, M.D., F.A.C.S., Chief of General Surgery, Veteran's Administration New Jersey Healthcare System, 48th Combat Support Hospital, Afghanistan

•A buffet dinner and dessert
