Timber Investment Expert Selected for World Summit

New York, NY (PRWEB) November 9, 2006 -- Timberland investment expert Jacob F. Schutt, Chairman of the Board for Wilmon Timberlands, is scheduled to participate in a panel discussion for the Timberland Investment World Summit in New York City. The event is November 13–15.

The roundtable seminar will examine "Timber from the Investor's Point of View." Topics include: benefits and disadvantages of investing in timberland, portfolio diversification, return rates, and timber versus other alternative assets. Representatives of the Doris Duke Foundation and TIAA-CREF will also participate in the discussion.

The Timberland Investment World Summit is sponsored semiannually by the International Quality and Productivity Center. Other speakers at the conference include representatives from University of Georgia Forestry School, Timberlink, Forest Research Group, Forest Investment Associates, and Conservation Forestry LLC.
