One Man's Trash is Another Man's Treasure

Consumers now have the ability to search for their local yard sales online.

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) November 11, 2006

Emily Pratt, mother of 3, is a frequent visitor of local yard sales. She laughs as she says that she appreciates the meaning of the old saying, "One man's trash is another man's treasure". Normally, Pratt would have looked over the paper the night before to map out the different yard sales she would hit in the morning. However, with MyAdSource, a new technology for newspaper publishers, Pratt can search her local newspapers website and receive both print and online classified ads found locally or nationally.

"Having access to search print classified ads online is much more useful as a mother. I never know if the section of the paper I am looking for will be colored over, torn or thrown away. Now, I can simply go online and search for yard sales and have the ability to view the entire printed page of that section in my local paper," says Pratt.

MyAdSource was created through the strategic partnership of Matchbin, provider of the Publisher Marketplace, and ArcaSearch, provider of searchable online digital files for print newspapers. By joining technologies, they created a solution that allows local newspapers to be a part of the MyAdSource network of inter-connected newspapers nationwide. The MyAdSource network provides consumers the ability to search their local paper's website and instantly receive all print classified ads that appear in their paper, as well as, any other paper in the MyAdSource network.

With many papers already onboard, MyAdSource is quickly spreading to newspapers around the nation.
