America’s Faith Waning After 9-11

A year after 9-11, Gallup Poll analyses on religion shows that everything’s business as usual in the religious lives of Americans. The initial burst of religious enthusiasm was short-lived, with church attendance and interest in God dropping back to pre-terrorist attack levels. This doesn’t mean that people are fullfilled spiritually, it could mean that they don’t know how to grow spiritually. A new book shows them how.

Marnie Pehrson, author and founder of SheLovesGod.com, has written a book and journal set, "10 Steps to Fulfilling Your Divine Destiny: A Christian Woman’s Guide to Learning and Living God’s Plan for Her," (ISBN 0-9676162-1-2) that provides the tools and lessons women who are seeking spiritual fulfillment need.

According to Pehrson, “While last year’s events in the U.S. initally inspired thousands to seek a closer relationships with their Creator simply out of fear, that enthusiasm was short lived. We’ve got a generation of adult Americans who have had no formal exposure to God or Jesus Christ. Even though they may have initial enthusiasm, they don’t know where to start or how to implement His teachings into their daily lives. Although many sense that there is something more to life, they don’t know where or how to find it. Real change -- real relationships with God -- are only built through a living and vibrant relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ. Faith, not fear transforms lives.”

Marnie Pehrson believes she can help those who are truly seeking a closer relationship with the Lord. The book and journal/workbook, contain a roadmap for learning how to unlock your full God-given potential. The books are suitable for Christians of all denominations who are seeking to overcome roadblocks that stand in their way of a closer relationship with Jesus Christ and that keep them from discovering God’s plan for their lives. Pehrson, a wife and mother of six, says, “Women characteristically beat themselves up. We get lost in the day-to-day details of life and let self-doubt, guilt, self-pity, criticism, or just plain buzyness get in our way of doing the important things that really matter — the things that really last — like building a meaningful relationship with our Savior. It’s my goal to encourage people (women in particular) to learn and live the plan that God has in store for them so that they can find greater happiness and inner peace in the troubled times in which we live.”

The book (ISBN 0-9676162-1-2) is a 124 page paperback and the Workbook/Journal (ISBN 0-9676162-2-0) is a 220 page paperback. Marnie Pehrson may be contacted for interviews directly at webmaster@shelovesgod.com or
