Book Teaches Rush Limbaugh Fans to Mix Adult Beverages

Millions of Americans listen to The Rush Limbaugh Show every week. Britt Gillette of Chesapeake, Virginia is one such listener. In an effort to entertain fellow Rush fans, he wrote The Dittohead's Guide to Adult Beverages.

Chesapeake, VA (PR Web) November 15, 2006 - The 22 million fans of conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh can now mix their own adult beverages thanks to The Dittohead's Guide to Adult Beverages, a recently published political humor book by Britt Gillette.

Gillette started listening to The Rush Limbaugh Show at the age of twelve - a daily ritual he's continued for over 15 years. During that time, Rush coined the term "adult beverages" as a politically-correct way of referring to alcoholic drinks. Yet millions of fellow Rush fans lacked a source guide for making their own adult beverages. So Gillette created The Dittohead's Guide to Adult Beverages, a collection of sixty-five humorous recipes based on the Limbaugh Lexicon, the insider lingo commonly used on Limbaugh's program.

Gillette believes it's the first political humor book solely devoted to Rush Limbaugh fans. "I wanted to create something truly unique that would make other Rush fans laugh out loud," he says. "As a fan of the show myself, I feel the book captures the essence of the listener experience."

A guide to the Limbaugh Lexicon appears in the introduction. The remainder of the book is composed of conservatively-slanted recipes with funny ingredients and humorous mixing instructions. In addition, each recipe contains a blurb explaining its origin. For instance, Gillette created The Hannitizer in honor of former Limbaugh guest-host Sean Hannity who now has his own nationally syndicated radio program, The Sean Hannity Show.

Other examples include Environmentalist Wacko Whiskey, a recipe requiring the use of an evil capitalist-concocted freezer, and Affirmative Action Ambrosia, a recipe requiring the bartender to give preference to dark rum over light rum.

In addition, the book features a number of recipes satirically critical of liberal politicians such as the Pelosi Painkiller (Nancy Pelosi), Ted "The Swimmer" Kennedy's Boston Sour (Ted Kennedy), and Jesse Jackson's Gin and Juice (Jesse Jackson).
