Fee-Only Financial Advisors Make Their Mark in Top Advisors List: 69 NAPFA Members Included in List of Top Advisors for Physicians NAPFA members make their mark in the Medical Economics list of top advisors for doctors. ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL (November 22, 2006) - Much like physicians, NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisors proudly hold themselves to a fiduciary standard, which means they operate in one way -- with their clients' best interests in mind. No wonder fee-only financial advisors seem to be so popular among doctors.
When Medical Economics' annual list of the "Top 150 Advisors For Doctors" came out on November 3, 2006, one common characteristic stood out among those honored -- a disproportionate number are NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisors. Of the 150 financial professionals identified by Medical Economics, 69 are members of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).
"I would like to believe that this is more than just a coincidence," said Dick Bellmer, national chairman of NAPFA and one of the advisors named to the list. "I believe it's fitting that so many NAPFA members who hold themselves to a fiduciary standard are sought out by physicians who hold themselves to a similar standard. Trust, confidence, and ethics are the hallmarks of medical professionals. Of course they expect the same from their financial advisors."
The 69 NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisors named in the 2006 list are located across the country, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
"We are proud to be associated with such a fantastic group of financial professionals. Their work and commitment to a fiduciary standard is what sets them apart and makes them so effective in their work with physicians," concluded Bellmer.
