Silicone Gel Breast Implants Approved -- Plastic Surgeon Edward Domanskis Offers Analysis

Silicone gel breast implants have been approved by the FDA for breast enlargement patients.

Newport Beach,California (PRWeb) November 22, 2006 -- Silicone gel breast implants were approved by the FDA. The newer cohesive silicone gel breast implants will need a larger incision which will limit their ability to be inserted through the belly button or armpit incision. "This, though, is a small price to pay for these patients who should obtain a more natural breast enhancement with the newly released implants," said Dr. Domanskis.

Breast augmentation was the third most common cosmetic procedure performed with about 1000 women undergoing this daily, according to the statistics of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. "This number should further increase due to the FDA approval of silicone gel breast implants", concluded Dr. Domanskis.
