(PRWeb) November 21, 2006 -- April Scott returns this week to the popular men's lifestyle website Savvy.com (http://www.savvy.com) to talk about her rapidly rising profile in Hollywood. She fills the shorts of Daisy Mae Duke for 2007's The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning.

Millions of TV viewers have come to adore April as briefcase model No. 14 on NBC's hit show "Deal or No Deal", but her TV experience also includes appearances on "The Shield", "CSI:Miami" and "Entourage". She has appeared in dozens of international magazines, including Maxim, which named her as No. 76 on its annual "Hot 100 list" in 2006. She was also named to People's "Most Beautiful People" issue.

In an exclusive interview, Scott tells Savvy about filling Daisy's shorts, looking good while opening briefcases, and her dream of piloting a certain invisible jet.

The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning is a 'pre-quel' in which Scott portrays Daisy's transition from tomboy to sex bomb. The movie will be released on DVD in March 2007.

"The audition process was pretty difficult. They saw tons of girls. I was called back four times before I got the part. Jessica (Simpson) was definitely a great Daisy, but luckily they chose a brunette this time," Scott said.

Asked which movie part would be her dream role, Scott said she would love to put on the Wonder Woman costume.

"Warner Bros. tells me they are working on the script, so I'll be practicing with my cape until they are ready to start casting," she said, adding that she would love for fans to back her when that time arrives.

Born on a farm in Missouri, Scott attended a private Christian college in Branson and graduated in 2001 as valedictorian with a degree in theater. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Within her first week in L.A., she landed an agent, and within 2 months, she got her own Screen Actors Guild card.

Recalling her experiences on "Deal or No Deal", Scott recalled one instance that was good for a laugh.

"Once I was daydreaming when I had to open my case, and I looked upset when I only had $10,000. Oops. I gave the wrong expression because it is good for contestant hoping to win a million dollars if the briefcase I have has a smaller amount," she said.

Scott's sizzling non-nude Savvy.com pictorial was photographed by Brie Childers in West Hollywood.
