SingleFeed Beta Launches Affordable Online System, Enables Online Retailers to Get Up and Running Quickly and Easily on Multiple Shopping Comparison Engines

As tens of millions of consumers turn to shopping comparison sites, online retailers are faced with finding a way to effectively and efficiently list products on these popular shopping sites. SingleFeed Beta (www.singlefeed.com) provides merchants an affordable online system that saves them time and money uploading products to multiple shopping comparison engines.

Menlo Park, CA (PRWeb) November 22, 2006 -- Shopping comparison sites allow merchants to feed them lists of products and associated product attributes. Those products are displayed alongside the same products from other merchants when a shopper performs a search. A consumer can therefore easily compare products, prices and shipping costs. Unfortunately, each shopping comparison engine has a unique specification that merchants must strictly follow in order to submit products.

"Filling out a data feed for any one shopping comparison engine can take hours," said Brian Smith, an independent ecommerce analyst and founder of SingleFeed. "Figuring out how to submit the feed can be difficult. Finally, once the data feed is submitted, fixing errors can take an additional couple of hours, and then a merchant has to repeat this process again for each additional shopping comparison engine. At the end of the day, the process is so complicated that many merchants fund accounts and then never submit a proper data feed. SingleFeed enables merchants to save a significant amount of time and money by allowing them to create an optimized data feed and then edit or correct directly through SingleFeed."

SingleFeed simplifies the data feed management and data feed submission processes by allowing merchants to create a single feed that covers all the required and most important optional fields for Google Base, Shopzilla, Shopping.com, Yahoo! Shopping, PriceGrabber, NexTag, Become and Smarter.com. SingleFeed checks the feed for errors, walks the merchant through any errors to make changes, manually categorizes the products in the feed, and then submits and automatically re-submits the data feed to the selected shopping comparison engines.

SingleFeed charges $9.99/month for submission to Google Base (which automatically gets the merchant on Froogle and possibly Google itself) and just $129.99/month plus a one time set up fee of $29.99 for deluxe submission to eight leading shopping comparison engines.

As an incentive for signing up for the Deluxe Submission service, SingleFeed has negotiated special free click offers for all merchants who sign up for the first time with Shopzilla, Smarter.com, PriceGrabber, and Become. These free clicks represent a one time savings of more than $150.
