Helping a Family in Need After Loss of a Loved One

We would like to provide information to you on a special promotion Helmi Felfel orchestrated on behalf of a local dealership during the Christmas season 2004, currently reopening this benefit to assist The Shekina Page family.

Charlotte, NC (PRWeb) November 30, 2006 -- We would like to provide information to you on a special promotion Helmi Felfel orchestrated on behalf of a local dealership during the Christmas season 2004, currently reopening this benefit to assist The Shekina Page family.

The week before Thanksgiving, a man and father was brutally murdered in a carjacking in the Charlotte area in front of his 12 year-old niece and 4 year-old daughter. Ms. Page, the widow was four months pregnant and left alone to support their four children. The carjacker was never caught. The family needed help to recover from this tragedy, especially for Christmas, and Helmi Felfel, General Manager of a local dealership organized a relief effort.

In a two-week period, we were able to pool together an impressive group of businesses to help the family out. We also created a bank account for the family and used a top-rated local radio station to help us spread the word.

We were able to provide the family:

    -new mattresses and beds

    -a refrigerator

    -at least 15 Christmas presents per child, including new shoes and coats

    -a bank account and generated over $6,000 from public donations

    -a Minivan from a local dealership
