Irish bookmaker launches betting market for $15,000 buy-in World Poker Tour pre-Christmas shindig.

(PRWeb) December 10, 2006 -- Paddy Power, Ireland's largest bookmaker, today launches its 'to win outright' betting market on the World Poker Tour Five Diamond Poker Classic held in the Bellagio Casino, Las Vegas from December 14 to December 19, 2006.

Last year 555 of the world's best players locked horns on one of the circuit's great tournaments, and it was the Europeans who triumphed.

Dane Rehne Pedersen won the event, pocketing almost $2.1 million and Finn Patrik Antonius came second for just over $1 million. The final table also included legend Doyle Brunson (3rd) and Dublin-born Phil Laak (6th).
