Perfume Designer and Fragrance Publisher Frédéric Malle Gives Advice at Barney's in Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills People conducts a video interview of Frédéric Malle at Barney's New York store in Beverly Hills.

(PRWeb) December 11, 2006 -- Beverly Hills People (http://www.beverlyhillspeople.com/pages/Malle.html) was on hand as famed perfume designer Frédéric Malle appeared in-store at the Beverly Hills Barney's New York store to promote several of his latest fragrances and offer advice to a gathered crowd of perfume hedonists.

Malle was careful to point out to the Barney's audience that he considers himself a perfume "publisher" and not a designer. Malle also stated that as a publisher, he wanted to put the focus back on perfume artist-designers instead of a company brand. To that end, Malle took care to enlist the best "noses" in the world to create their own fragrances under his company banner with no limitations: each liquid work of art is named and signed by the artist-perfume designer.

Malle's published collection of women's fragrance perfumes from the world's best artists has won him many admirers ranging from perfumers to adoring fans who swear that passing strangers are stopped in their tracks at the smell of one of Malle's fragrances.

Visitors to Beverly Hills People can view the web video interview (http://www.beverlyhillspeople.com/pages/Malle.html) conducted with Malle during his visit to the Barney's store. Among several bits of fragrance advice, Malle gave his unique perspective on why trying to combine or "layer" differing brands of corporate perfume is usually a bad idea.

Malle's unique creations usually take a couple years to develop, a good example being his latest designer fragrance, Carnal Flower by Dominique Ropien who produced a scent of tuberose blossoms exuding flowershop freshness and carnal opulence. The result is a yet another superior Frédéric Malle women's perfume.

Born in Paris in 1962, Frédéric Malle is the scion of a notable perfume dynasty: As grandson of Serge Heftler, founder of Dior Perfumes, Malle was raised among the very heart of the finest perfume traditions.

Frédéric Malle perfumes can be found at Barney's New York and online at Malle's own perfume stores site.
