Red Hat Society Announces New Tea Time Perk for Members Founded over tea, the Red Hat Society recently announced a new Purple Perk for members to include a reduced subscription rate to The Tea House Times, a Victorian Afternoon Tea Publication, and discounted shopping for members at The Tea House Times website. Additionally, the Red Hat Society will be given a forum in all future issues of The Tea House Times publication. FULLERTON, CA and SPARTA, NJ (PRWeb) December 13, 2006 -- The Red Hat Society recently announced a new Purple Perk for members. The new perk offers reduced subscription rates to The Tea House Times, a bi-monthly Afternoon Tea Publication, and access to discounted afternoon tea themed gift items at The Tea House Times website.
The first gathering of the Red Hat Society was eight years ago when Sue Ellen Cooper and friends wore red hats out to tea. Purple Perks are special discounts for goods and services exclusively available to Red Hat Society members carrying a current Purple Perks membership card. Approved Purple Perks businesses are carefully screened by the Red Hat Society to ensure high quality, useful products for their membership base.
The Red Hat Society will have an ongoing forum in The Tea House Times beginning with the publication's January/February 2007 issue. The two organizations will work together to promote tea parties among friends and share tea related stories and tea party ideas from Red Hat Society members and subscribers to The Tea House Times.
According to Sue Ellen Cooper, Red Hat Society founder, "Red Hatters can be found in every state and over 30 countries outside of the U.S.! Red Hatters play in a great many ways, and a lot of the chapters still enjoy going to tea together. It is an honor, indeed, to be given a forum in The Tea House Times ~ in both the January/February 2007 issue and all future ones! It will be another place for Red Hat Society Members, as well as those interested in our women's movement, to see what some of us are up to!"
According to The Tea House Times' publisher, Gail Gastelu, aka "Lady Gayle" (inspired by the Red Hat Society), "Tea time is a warm, relaxing, special experience best shared with family and friends. Sharing and promoting a tea passion with Red Hat Society members is an honor and privilege and we are proud to be the chosen company to represent the tea industry and promote tea not only for health and education about tea, but to encourage friendship, and a more relaxed and civilized break from our hectic lives."
