G&S Insurance, Inc. d.b.a. Discount Shipping Insurance Agency has announced that it has acquired Harper Reed Corporation d.b.a. PSI Insurance effective January 1, 2007.

(PRWeb) December 21, 2006 -- G&S Insurance, Inc. d.b.a. Discount Shipping Insurance Agency has announced that it has acquired Harper Reed Corporation d.b.a. PSI Insurance effective January 1, 2007.

Harper Reed has provided an alternate to insuring shipments with the major shipping carriers since 1986. Under their PSI Insurance brand, this coverage was focused on the mail and parcel center industry.

Discount Shipping Insurance (DSI) is a third party shipping insurance agency that offers all-risk coverage for parcels and large freight in transit. With the close of the transaction, DSI will offer their broad shipping insurance product to Harper Reed's covered clientele.
