Fleisher Art Memorial to Host Performance by Award-winning Magician Matt The Knife 8:00 p.m., Saturday, 20 January 2007 The Sanctuary of the Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial, 719 Catharine Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147 Matt The Knife -- master magician and holder of 11 Guinness World Records™ -- brings his masterful conjurations and feats of physical daring to Philadelphia for a performance at the Fleisher Art Memorial on Saturday, January 20, 2007. Philadelphia, PA (PRWeb) January 2, 2007 -- The Fleisher Art Memorial is pleased to announce that Matthew J. Cassiere -- better known as Matt The Knife -- will bring his "cutting edge of entertainment" to Philadelphia for a single outlandish performance at Fleisher on the night of Saturday, January 20th.
Matt the Knife is an entertainer of the highest order: magician, sideshow performer, escape artist, lecturer and consultant. A holder of 11 Guinness World Records™, Matt has performed around the globe, appeared on numerous television shows (including programs for the Discovery Channel, BBC, China's CCTV and Ripley's Believe it Or Not!) and has been reviewed by The New York Times and Wall Street Journal, among many others.
Matt The Knife is a magician ... but he's so much more than that. His intense variety performance is a true blend of sideshow skills, escapes, magic and mentalism. Matt's shows include edge-of-your-seat sword swallowing, spine-tingling mind reading, death-defying escapes, intense strong man feats and many other amazing things that one would have thought were totally impossible. Matt The Knife's performance is funny, awe-inspiring, unique and completely wild. It's the sort of thing that audiences continue to talk about long afterwards.
The Samuel Fleisher Art Memorial in South Philadelphia will play host to this spectacle of magic and madness at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20th.
TICKETS: $16 ($15 for Fleisher members) in advance, or $19 ($15 for Fleisher members) on the day of the performance. Cash purchases may be made at Fleisher's front desk, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
